Emily Perez-Delgado grew up playing soccer in Oxnard, and her love and passion for the sport has inspired her to give back to the student-athlete population in her community.

Emily’s coaching career began at Channel Islands High School where she coached the girls’ soccer team for three years and was the assistant cross-country coach for two.  She played club soccer and participated on the girls’ varsity soccer team at CIHS for three years. Emily ended her high school athletic career as Team Captain and MVP by leading the team with 12 goals and 10 assists for the year.

Coach Perez is a former Condor athlete who participated on the Oxnard College Women’s Soccer team from 2012-2014. During her athletic career at OC, she was team captain and earned the Condor Award, Defensive MVP award, and WSC First Team during her sophomore year which earned her a spot in the 2013 Sophomore Showcase. She is the founder of the Oxnard College Athletic Alumni Association (@oxnardcollegeaaa) where she currently serves as the Chair. Through the Association, Emily’s goal is to provide the Oxnard College student-athletes a lifetime connection to their alma mater and opportunities for networking and relationship enhancement.

Emily holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from CSUN and has earned a Master in Science degree in Physical Education with an emphasis in Sport Management from Azusa Pacific University.

She is excited to guide the OC women’s soccer team to victory. Her long-term aspiration is to one day become an athletic director and to inspire other female athletes who want to become leaders in the community and athletic industry.
