The Oxnard College Women's Soccer team showcased their competitive spirit by securing a hard-earned 2-2 draw against a strong West Los Angeles team at WLA.

Oxnard surged ahead in the first half, with standout goals from Anahi Nieto and Karla Alatorre putting them 2-0 up early. However, West LA responded with goals from Ta'riyah Pickett and Kassandra Galindo, leveling the match.

The second half saw both teams locked in a defensive struggle, with neither able to break the deadlock. Oxnard's goalkeeper, Myranda Figueroa, played a key role, making crucial saves to deny West LA further scoring opportunities.

Oxnard's performance, particularly their early attacking prowess and solid defensive stand, highlighted their growing strength as they look to build momentum for the rest of the season.

OC is back in action on October 4th when they travel to take on Cuesta College at 4:00 for their first WSC match.
