Angie grew up in LaCrosse, WI spending her formative years playing Little League Baseball.  At the age of 14 she transitioned to fastpitch softball and became the starting pitcher of her high school team.  That year the team went to the Wisconsin State Championship tournament where she solidified her love for the game.  She went on to earn first team all-conference honors, MVP, and Female Athlete of the Year for being a 3-sport athlete throughout high school.

Angie then went on to accept an academic/athletic scholarship to the University of Jamestown in North Dakota where she competed in volleyball and softball.  After 2 years, she dedicated her full attention to softball and earned all-conference honors and league MVP her senior year.  Graduating from college in 1999, she went on to further her education and obtained a 2nd degree in Kinesiology from the University of Minnesota.

After moving to California in 2004 and with the desire to stay competitive in sport, Angie then turned to tennis and has been playing competitively ever since.  McCampbell also assists with coaching tennis and strength and conditioning for athletes.  She has been a personal trainer for 20+ years working with an emphasis on rehabilitation and injury prevention.  She obtained her master’s degree in Exercise Science/Health Promotion in 2018.

Baseball came back into her life while helping coach her son’s little league teams.

“The softball diamond is my happy place and I’m so excited to get back in the game by coaching this great group of women.”
