OXNARD, CA – The Oxnard College Condors mounted a thrilling sixth-inning comeback to edge out Allan Hancock College 3-2 in a hard-fought Western State Conference (WSC) battle on Thursday. The victory propels the Condors to an impressive 3-1 conference record.

The game was a tightly contested pitcher's duel for much of the evening, with Allan Hancock taking a 1-0 lead in the fourth inning off a triple by Khaelii Robertson-Mack that scored Dezirae Rodriguez. The Bulldogs added another run in the sixth, seemingly in control with a 2-0 lead.

However, the Condors roared back in the bottom of the sixth. Victoria Rodriguez got the rally started with an RBI single to bring home Amber Cervantez. Isabela Nava followed with a clutch double, scoring Rodriguez to tie the game. Moments later, Savannah Saxton doubled, driving in Nava to give Oxnard the decisive 3-2 lead.

Pitcher Amber Cervantez delivered a standout performance in the circle, going the distance with seven strong innings, allowing just two earned runs on six hits while striking out six. Her resilience kept the Condors within striking distance before the late-game heroics sealed the win.

"Our team showed a lot of heart," said Head Coach Bianca Noriega. "We never gave up, and when we had the chance to capitalize, we made the most of it. Amber was great in the circle, and we got some clutch hits with two outs."

Oxnard collected seven hits in the game, with key contributions from Nava, Saxton, and Rodriguez, each driving in crucial runs.

With the win, the Condors improve to 3-1 in WSC play and look to carry their momentum into their next game against LA Mission tomorrow (1:00), and VC next Tuesday (2:30)
