Oxnard, Calif. – The Oxnard College men's soccer team continued its strong play with an impressive 4–1 victory over Antelope Valley on Friday afternoon in the Nest. All of the scoring came in the first half, as the Condors showcased sharp finishing and team play to secure the win.
Antelope Valley struck first when Adrian Mota opened the scoring early in the first half. The Condors wasted no time responding, equalizing immediately when Brayan Garibay found the back of the net off a pass from Ernesto Rodriguez.
Rodriguez then took control of the match, scoring back-to-back goals—one assisted by Alex Jimenez and another unassisted—to give Oxnard a commanding 3–1 lead. Before halftime, the Condors added their fourth when Emmanuel Yarjah connected on a goal, assisted by goalkeeper Jesus Gonzalez, pushing the score to 4–1.
The second half saw tighter defensive play from both sides, with no further scoring. Oxnard's defense, anchored by Jesus Soto, Omar Ochoa, and Emiliano Rivera, prevented Antelope Valley from generating any meaningful chances, holding them without a single shot on goal after the opening strike.
OC continues the non-conference schedule when they travel to San Bernardino Valley College on Tuesday for a 6 pm kickoff.
