Hasta El Final

OC Men's Soccer
OC Men's Soccer

The OC Condor men's soccer team is on a quest to capture the second CCCAA State Championship in the history of Oxnard College.  The first came in 2015, when the men's soccer team overcame tremendous obstacles to capture the trophy.

The 2022 version is rich with talent, and poised to make a run to the Final Four in Sacramento after a strong 3-0 win over seventh-seeded Golden West College on Tuesday afternoon.

Andy Cruz got the Condors on the board in the 23rd minute of the game, when he headed an assist from Christopher Ramirez past a diving Daniel Barragan.  Golden West played well during the entire first half, and had several good scoring opportunities, but OC's tremendous GK, Efrain Perez refused to allow any shots past.  He controled the defense and allowed the Condors to set up multiple counter attacks.  Pedro Santos-Jimenez drove a terrific Odin Rosten feed into the corner of the net, for a 2-0 lead before halftime.

Condor striker, Chris Ramirez added to his terrific day with an unassisted goal early in the second half, to complete the scoring.
