The Condors started a two-game winning streak by taking down SBCC, 78-69 on Wednesday night.

The Vaqueros put up a tough fight, but OC prevailed, with great team play.  Daniel Ortiz continued to play great basketball, leading Oxnard with 26 points and seven boards.  Ortiz also was 7-8 from the line, sinking two clutch free throws down the stretch.  Sophomore PG Noah Del Rio Sanchez (https://www.instagram.com/reel/C2yfr_rrc6V/?hl=en) stepped up as well with 16 pts and seven assists.  Theo Briscoe was next in scoring with 15 and 5-7 from beyond the arc.  Sophomore, Rashaan Rucker was strong on defense inside and had 11 points.

OC went up in the first half by nearly 20 points, but SBCC clawed their way back to a halftime deficit of only three.  The game stayed close for most of the second half, but down the stretch, Briscoe hit a monster three to give the Condors a 74-67 lead. SBCC's David Coniglio made a layup to cut the score to 74-69, but Ortiz got fouled and hit both free throws to ultimately ice the game.

OC will host "Condor Appreciation Night" on Saturday against VC.  All OC Staff, Faculty, and Students will get in for free.  Additionally, the first 25 Condors who wear OC apparel will be give a door prize.  Hamburgers and hot dogs will also be served, weather permitting.  The men tipoff at 1:00 and the women at 3:00.
