February 4, 2025 - Oxnard, CA – Oxnard College baseball secured its first victory of the 2025 season in a 3-2 win over West LA College on February 4, 2025. The Condors' pitching staff, led by Edgar Castro, dominated on the mound to give Oxnard College its first triumph of the year.

Castro (1-0) delivered a stellar performance, pitching six shutout innings and allowing just five hits while striking out four. His strong outing set the tone for the game, keeping the opposition scoreless until the seventh inning. Despite a late rally by West LA, the Condors' bullpen, led by Miguel Manzano, Roman Munoz, and Ahmed Mohamed, held strong to seal the win. Mohamed earned his first save of the season, closing out the final two innings with three strikeouts.

Oxnard College jumped out to an early lead in the first inning when Isaiah Justo scored on a groundout by Jorge Rodarte, giving the Condors a 1-0 advantage. The lead was extended in the third inning when Rodarte drove in a run with a single, followed by a balk that allowed Kekai Adams to score, putting Oxnard ahead 3-0.

West LA made a push in the seventh, capitalizing on a fielding error and a double by Lucas Salcedo to bring the game within one run at 3-2. However, the Condors' pitchers kept their composure and secured the victory.

Oxnard College's offense was led by Rodarte, who went 2-for-3 with two RBIs. Kekai Adams and Owen Muench also contributed with key hits. The Condors' defense was solid, with Luis Cervantez and Isaiah Justo turning double plays to help keep the opposition at bay.
