In the first of a three-game series with rival VC, the Oxnard Baseball team emerged victorious, with a commanding 18-6 win over Ventura College.

The Condors put up 18 runs, with the help of eight errors committed by VC. Not to be overshadowed, Luis Luhrs (https://www.instagram.com/p/C4J5Aq0JYLL/), with a stellar performance (2-4, 3B and 4RBI), earned the Player of the Game. Cade Amine and Jacob Martinez also had two hits for OC, with Martinez driving in three.  Aaron Alvarado had five RBI's and scored two runs.

Nathan Hernandez got the win by going 5.1 innings, giving up only three earned and striking out six Pirates.

VC's Haiden Letzing had three hits and Aaron McLeod gathered two, adding to the 11-hit performance by Ventura.

The two teams will play the second game on Thursday afternoon at 2:00 at Ventura College.
