
The Condors made it two games in a row against Allan Hancock College on Thursday afternoon, with a 5-2 win.
Diego Chavez went seven innings, gave up five hits, two runs, while striking out five Bulldogs for the win. Marcus Chavez pitched 1 1/3, while Anthony Alvarez slammed the door for his first save of the season.
The offensive Player of the Game was leadoff hitter, Thade Miller (https://www.instagram.com/p/Ca8c7VwFd2k/), who was 3-5 on the day. Miller tied the game up in the third inning, scoring from third on a great read of a wild pitch.
Adrian Sandoval was 2-4 on the day, while Isaiah Gonzalez also had two hits, including a double in his first at bat.
Oxnard took the lead in the bottom of the third inning, with an RBI by Sandoval. AHC drew to within one run on a homer by Parker Haskell in the top of the 6th, but 3-2 was as close as the Bulldogs could get.
The Condors scored Michael Murray in the bottom of the sixth, on a single by Gonzalez, and one more in the 7th on an RBI double by Lucien Wechsberg.
Oxnard will host the Bulldogs again on Saturday, with the first pitch slated for 1:00. The game will be live-streamed @OCCondors on Twitter.
