Wechsberg CG Win in Game One; MC salvages Game Two

April 24, 2021

Lucien Wechsberg stepped on the Moorpark College mound and pitched Oxnard to their third straight win. The Camarillo High product only gave up three hits and one BB.  He faced only 27 Raiders in a complete-game, seven-inning win.

Taylor Tractenberg drove in the Condors only run, driving in Daniel Cabral who had two doubles on the day.  Nick Wolfrey and Isaiah Gonzalez also had hits for OC, but Wechsberg didn't need any more offense.

Game two was a stark contrast, with Moorpark coming back for a 8-7 win.

Oxnard smashed nine hits, with Tractenberg again leading the way for OC. Tractenberg drove in two runs as the teams went back and forth, the entire game.

Oxnard was up 3-0  in the third, but MC came back with four runs in the bottom of the third.  OC went up 6-4 in the fifth inning, but MC made it 6-5 in the bottom.  The Raiders pushed across a run in the eighth and ninth, to stop the Condor winning streak at four games.

Oxnard Head Coach, Steve Hernandez, commented, "We try to improve every week and the last four games were a big step for us as we continue to improve…"

Oxnard will open WSC play at Hancock College for a DH beginning at 12:00.
