Thank you to all these GREAT sophomores in their final game in the Nest!

Oxnard College Athletics thanks all the sophomores for choosing to study and play baseball for the Condors.

After a brief recognition of all the second-year athletes, Jason Gomez had another terrific outing to get the win, going six innings, holding WSC leading Cuesta to five hits, two earned runs, while striking out seven.  Ray Chacon picked up the three-inning save, allowing no runs or hits, with two K's.

Daniel Cabral and Antonio Gonzalez both had multiple hits for the Condors.  Ramon Gomez was 1-3 with a run scored, as were Austin Maciel, Raul Sandoval, and Mark Hernandez.

"We played an excellent game today," said first-year head coach Steve Hernandez.  When asked if the win especially nice for the last home game of the season, he replied "aren't they all?"

Oxnard will travel to San Luis Obispo on Thursday to finish the season against Cuesta College.  The first pitch is slated for 2:30.
