OC Harriers Finish 12th at 3C2A Championships

The Condors conclude the 2023 Cross Country season at the 3C2A State Championships with excellent performances overall.

The Women took another strong 12th place team finish in rainy conditions at Woodward Park in Fresno.  Sophomore Shelly Martin led the Condors in 44th place with a time of 19:59, which was a significant improvement on the 5K course from her state performance last year.  Returner Magy Rosales bouncing back from her SoCal performance finished the fight in 75th place with a time of 20:43. Freshman Nathallie Ojeda running strong and consistent all season finished in 80th place with a time of 20:50.  Newcomer Marylynn Mendieta following just close behind in the mix placed 91st with a time of 21:04.   Maryjane Arreola stepping up to score for the team once again finished in 145th with a time of 23:42. Savannah Landaverde coming off a rough race at SoCal was able to finish her race in 148th place with a time of 23:56.  Yoselin Gonzalez, earning her spot on the state qualifying team, placed 161st with a time of 25:40.

In the Men's race, Freshman Reyes Gonzales solely representing the Condors and marking a return for the men's team to the state championships, finished in 106th place with a personal best for the 4-mile course in 22:25
