The Oxnard College Women's Soccer team hosted it's annual Kicks for Cancer Fundraiser during the month of October. The team kicked off their fundraiser with a kickball game against OC employees. Later in the month, the team hosted a Kicks for Cancer Game during their home match on October 20th, vs Moorpark College. The team raised over $1,000 by selling breast cancer awareness t-shirts and pink patches. Proceeds will go to Ribbons For Life, a nonprofit organization in Ventura County that provides assistance to those individuals and their families within the community who have ben impacted by breast cancer.

"Hosting our Kicks for Cancer Fundraiser is always special. It opens up an entire new audience that is now thinking about cancer awareness and how to stop the disease. The team really gets into it, and it's a great cause because it touches so many people" commented Head Coach Emily Perez.
