Fall Sports Coming

After a long summer break, the state-champion Condor men's soccer team is preparing to defend their title.  Joining them will be the women's soccer team, opening play with a scrimmage on August 24th vs Citrus College.  Cross-country opens the 2023 season by hosting the annual Oxnard Invitational meet.

After a historic run, that saw the men's soccer team go 22-1-1 in the regular season, a perfect 10-0 in conference, and finish with a defeat of defending champion Mt. SAC, the 2023 team has a tough act to follow.  After claiming the college's second CCCAA State Championship, the team transferred a majority of the sophomores to the four-year level, so the first-year players will look to lead.

Men's soccer will open the season on August 25th against Citrus College at 4:00 pm.  There will be an Opening Day celebration with food provided during the game.

The women's soccer team, led by head coach Emily Perez, have been working hard all summer to improve.  "We are rebuilding our program with local talent," explained Coach Perez.  "We need to score more goals and develop as a team to be a perennial contender."

Women's soccer opens with a scrimmage on August 24th vs. Citrus College from 3:00.  The women will host an Opening Day celebration with BBQ on September 1st against LA City College from 4:00 pm, at the Sports Complex.

Cross Country is coming off a banner year for the Condors. The women's team followed up a strong 12th place finish in southern California, with an even better 12th place finish at the CCCAA State Championships.  The women's team returns Shelly Martin, Margarita Rosales-Medina, Daisy Rosete, and Carla Rueda.  OC will add seven talented freshmen as they push to improve from last year. Led by head coach Aaron Sharp and Else Guerrero, the Condors will put in the work to soar to the state championship in Fresno.

The men's team will add five freshmen to returners Francisco Perez, Jesus Rodriguez, and Armando Cabeza to strengthen the squad.  Coach Sharp has been putting them men through the paces to move up the WSC leaderboard in 2023.

Cross Country will host the Oxnard Invitational on September 8th, to be followed by an Opening Day celebration.

Come out to the Nest and join the Condors for all our home games!
