Condors Dominant to Start the Season

The 2022 Oxnard College Men's Soccer team has been perfect.

They are 3-0, with wins over Palomar to open the season (4-0), Santa Ana (1-0), and College of the Desert (2-0).  The last two were in the Mt. SAC Soccer Invitational where they were crowned champions for the first time.

Oxnard has simply outmatched their opponents, with a terrific ball-control style that frustrates opposing offenses and produces wins.

With returners like GK Efrain Perez, forwards Odin Rosten, Andy Cruz, Pedro-santos Jimenez, Pablo Orozco, and Alfonzo Lopez; midfielders Ricardo Zizumbo, Danny Orozco, Diego Briceno; defenders Enrique Tiscareno, and Jose Ortiz, the Condors have experience and depth of talent.

The Condors have claimed the Western State Championship seven out of the previous nine years.  They are perennial State Championship contenders, taking the trophy in 2015. The depth and experience of the 2022 squad looks to have Head Coach, Ross Greaney and the Condor Men in a position to make a deep playoff run. "It has been a solid start to the season.  The players have been getting better each day and working for each other on the field.  Hopefully that continues as we challenge ourselves against some of the best programs in the state," commented  Coach Greaney.

OC will begin their WSC title defense on October 11th vs. LA Mission at 4:00.  Until then, they will be playing some of the top-seeded teams in the state (https://www.occondors.com/sports/msoc/2022-23/schedule) in an attempt to gain power points and show they are indeed a force in the CCCAA
