The Condors opened the 2019 Women's Basketball season at the West LA Invitational.

The first two games were an eye-opening experience for the Condors, falling 93-50 against Mira Costa, and 72-65 versus Yuba College. 

Game three was a different story for Oxnard.  They took down the Barstow Vikings by a score of 68-60.  Robin Prince led OC with 21 points and 13 boards, with Alissa Aranda going for 15 and Jasmine Wright chipping in 14.  Kristel Lacaba had 12 points and seven steals to propel the Condors to the win.

"Overall the tournament went well because we gained needed experience, and learned to adjust from our mistakes in the first two games," said assistant coach, Thara Innocent.  "We were able to get a win and gained some confidence, even though were not yet at full strength yet."

Oxnard will tip off at the Glendale Invitational on Thursday against San Bernardino Valley College at 5:00.
