Condors Men and Women Fall to Hancock

The Men's Basketball team fell behind against Allan Hancock on Saturday night, but again could not come back.  All season, the Condors have been falling behind and coming back.  The Bulldogs proved to be too much for OC to overcome, falling 82-74.

KV Myricks again led Oxnard with 18 points, six assits, and three rebounds.  Tahj Comeaux had 12 and 10 boards, Wes Salandich (pic) had 12 points, and Rameek Wooten with 11.

The game was a six point deficit at the half, and the Condors cut it to one in the second frame.  OC could not withstand another eight-point run by AHC, and eventually had to foul to stop the clock.  The Bulldogs were good from the free-throw line, down the stretch to ice the game.

Vanessa Maldonado scored 20 points and grabbed 12 boards The Condor Women's Basketball team had a similar game to the men, with the unfortunate same outcome.  They fell 61-44, but only trailed by five points after three quarters.

Vanessa Maldonado (pic) had a monster night with 20 points and 12 boards, but couldn't find a running mate.

The next three Condors could only muster five points and 15 boards collectively.  OC struggled at 28% from the field, but were still competitive through 30 minutes of basketball.

The Condors are back on the court on Wednesday, when they host Cuesta College at 5:00/7:00.
