Oxnard College softball displayed their terrific improvement, securing a decisive victory against LA Pierce with a final score of 6-1.

LA Pierce took an early lead in the first inning, scoring one run. However, Oxnard quickly rallied back.

Key highlights from the game included a standout performance by Oxnard's Juliann Herrera, who not only showcased her pitching prowess but also contributed significantly at the plate, including a triple in the fourth inning that helped turn the tide in Oxnard's favor.

Lopez also proved to be a force to be reckoned with, delivering multiple hits and RBIs throughout the game, solidifying Oxnard's lead. Additionally, Ariana Maldonado's consistent performance padded OC's lead.

OC backed up their pitcher, with a strong defensive effort from the entire team, Oxnard effectively shut down their opponents' offense, limiting them to just one run.

After the game, Coach Noriega was happy with the win and growth she's seen with the squad.

OC will be back in action next Tuesday when they host the Cuesta Cougars, in the Nest from 2:30 pm.
