With family obligations coming first, former OC women's head soccer coach, Gabi Gonzalez has decided to step back from the head coach role.

Emily Perez-Delgado and Gonzalez will be switching positions for the Condors, with Perez taking the reins as the head coach, with Gabi remaining as the assistant.

Coach Perez-Delgado has been assisting the soccer team last couple years at OC and working as an assistant to the athletic director. She was a two-year starter for the Condors from 2012-14. During her athletic career at OC, she was team captain and earned the Condor Award, Defensive MVP award, and WSC First Team during her sophomore year which earned her a spot in the 2013 Sophomore Showcase. She is the founder of the Oxnard College Athletic Alumni Association (@oxnardcollegeaaa) where she currently serves as the Chair. Through the Association, Emily's goal is to provide the Oxnard College student-athletes a lifetime connection to their alma mater and opportunities for networking and relationship enhancement.

Emily's coaching career began at Channel Islands High School where she coached the girls' soccer team for three years and was the assistant cross-country coach for two.

Emily holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from CSUN and has earned a Master in Science degree in Physical Education with an emphasis in Sport Management from Azusa Pacific University.

Coach Perez aspires to become an athletic director and to inspire other female athletes who want to become leaders in the community and athletic industry.
