Oxnard defeated cross-county rival Moorpark 5-0 on Tuesday afternoon in the Condors Nest.
Conference goal leader, Erik Lopez (https://www.instagram.com/p/B3qP3iOAlvl/) added two goals against the Raiders to give him eight on the season. Lopez scored 13 minutes into the game on a feed by Angel Herrera.
Oxnard never looked back, with goals in the 40th minute by Lopez again, from David Garcia and Carlos Gomez. "We really feel like we have good chemistry and know where we have to be out there," commented the sophomore striker from Hueneme HS. That is credit to Head Coach Ross Greaney who has assembled terrific local talent, and has them functioning as a unit.
Angel Herrera, Onofre Pulido, and Ari Jimenez all added goals for OC who went to 1-0 in the WSC and 10-2 on the season. They also find themselves ranked number four in California, with a huge contest coming on Friday, against Santa Barbara City College. Kickoff is slated for 2:00 in the Nest.
