The Oxnard College Condors traveled to San Bernardino Valley College (7-2-1) and defeated the Wolverines 2-1.
SBVC is ranked ninth in the CCCSSIA poll, and the Condors are ranked number three, despite their 3-0 loss to Mt. SAC last week.
OC set out to control the pace early and found an opening in the 21st minute. Angel Herrera found Erik Lopez on a cross to the far post. Lopez did the rest for his sixth goal in eight games. Shortly after came the game winner by Carlos Gomez (3 goals and 4 assists on the season) on a volley by Lopez to seal the contest.
San Bernardino struck for their lone goal just before the half at 38:00 on the clock, on a goal by Jason Hernandez.
The OC keeper Jesus Gonzalez Rangel came up big with six quality saves, and the Condors hung on to win.
The victory puts OC at 7-2 on the year with their next game schedule against Citrus on Friday from 2:00.
