OC Uses Strong Defense to Take Down the Monarchs

The OC Men's Basketball team played strong defense in the second half to take down visitng the LA Valley Monarchs, 79-60 on Thursday night.  

Sophomore standout, James Webster led the Blue and Green with 24 points and 15 rebounds, to go along with three assists.  His running mate, freshman Egor Omelnitskii had 19 and five, respectively.  Sophomore, Anthony Juarez had a nice night, with 13 points and five boards and the Condors came back from a small one-point defecit at the half.

"We were able to pick up our defense in the second half.  If we play defense that way, we can win some ball games," commented head coach, Ron McClurkin after the game.

The win moved OC to level on the year at 2-2, with LA Trade Tech coming to the nest on Saturaday from 7:00.
