On Friday, February 22nd, both basketball teams finished the 2018-19 campaign.  The men were victorious against Santa Barbara City College 97-87.  The ladies dropped a hard-fought contest by a score of 73-56.

KV Myricks led Oxnard with 31 points and 6 assists, with Tahj Comeaux puting up 14, to go along with 10 boards.  Will Blue had 12 points as did sophomore running mate Al Stubbs.  Rameek Wooten showed his potential with 10 points.

The women played hard all season, but were simply out-matched.  Vanessa Maldonado again led OC with 15 and nine rebounds, with her sister, Natalie Maldonado scoring ten.  Mary Nichols put in 11 points, with teammate Madisene Allen adding 11 points as well.

The teams helped raise a considerable amount of money for the Coaches vs. Cancer Campaign.  All the sophomores were honored prior to tipoff, which made for a festive evening in The Nest.

Over the weekend, Oxnard found out that KV Myricks, Vanessa Maldonado, and Mary Nichols were all named to the Western State Conference All-Conference Team.  Al Stubbs received an Honorable Mention for his hard work through his sophomore season.
