Oxnard, CA – The Oxnard College baseball team returned to the win column on Saturday with a commanding 7–2 victory over conference rival Moorpark at home. The win snaps a recent slide and showcases a strong all-around performance from the Condors.

After falling behind 2–0 in the first inning, Oxnard quickly answered in the bottom of the second with a clutch 2-RBI single from Robert Perez to even the score. From there, the Condors controlled the tempo, adding runs in the fifth, sixth, and eighth innings behind timely hitting and smart baserunning. Perez led the offensive charge, going 3-for-3 with two RBIs and two runs scored, while catcher Brayden Ferguson added a key 2-RBI single in the fifth.

On the mound, starter Edgar Castro delivered seven strong innings, allowing just two earned runs and striking out seven to earn the win. Austin Watkins closed the door with two clean innings to secure the save.

Oxnard's defense turned three double plays and committed just one error in a solid effort that sets the tone for the final stretch of the season.

The Condors will look to build on this momentum as they prepare for their next matchup on Tuesday when they host Cuesta College from 2:00.
