Women's Soccer Supports Kicks for Cancer

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness, the OC women's soccer team has put together a Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign during October. The team has been selling pink t-shirts and has raised over $500. All proceeds will be sent to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation to fund hours of research that is helping discover new methods of detecting cancer at an early stage and developing strategies for prevention. Individuals who purchase a pink t-shirt are encouraged to wear it on Fridays during October to spread awareness. A limited quantity of t-shirts is still available (XL and 2XL sizes) if you are interested in purchasing you can do so through this link: https://bit.ly/OCKicksCancer

"Whether you have been affected by the disease personally or through friends and relatives you want to help. So, having our team take action and supporting this cause has been special. The players were excited to be a part of it and help make a difference" commented assistant coach Emily Perez.

In addition, the team hosted a Kicks for Cancer Game during their home match on October 14th, vs Allan Hancock College to honor those affected by breast cancer. The team will continue accepting donations all month long. You can make a direct donation by clicking on the following link: https://give.bcrf.org/team/451760 . Every dollar brings us closer to our ultimate goal of a world without breast cancer.
