Women's and Men's Cross Country finish 4th and 6th at Golden West

In the Women's Race, the Lady Condors placed 4th out of 11 scoring teams.  Angelica Alcala placed 3rd and running an impressive seasonal best of 20:00 for the 5K course.  Melody Salazar staying consistent finished in 16th place with a time of 21:15.  Araceli Rodriguez finished in 26th place with a time of 21:52.  Esther Gomez also put in a solid performance finishing in 45th place with a time of 22:58.  Laura Carmona rounded out the last scoring position finishing in 50th with a time of 23:28.  Kimberly Acosta placed 57th with a time of 24:01.  Lesley Arenas finished in 60th with a time of 24:28 and just behind her was Fiona Rodriguez in 61st place with a time of 24:36.  Jasmine Rangel debuted her freshman season at the invitational to finish in 64th place with a time of 24:41.  Mayra Munguia placed 77th with a time of 26:09.

In the Men's Race, the Condors placed 6th out of 14 scoring teams.  Ricky Torres returns to form to lead the Condors finishing in 2nd place with a time of 21:29 for the 4 mile course.  JD Martinez battled with Ricky in an all out sprint to the finish to catch up to an Orange Coast athlete and ended up finishing just less than a second behind the two in 4th place with a time of 21:30.   Eric Rios also running strong even after falling down late in the race finished in 6th place with a time of 21:41.  Jonathan Juarez finished in 137th with a time of 28:34.  Sonny Lopez improving from his last race rounded out the team score in 144th place with a time of 30:28.  Pedro Martin finished in 151st with a time of 32:41.
