Condors Name Tony McMillin as Head Assistant Coach

The Condors officially named Tony McMillin as the Head Assistant Baseball Coach, replacing legendary Roger Frash.

Tony McMillin graduated and lettered in Varsity 3 consecutive years at Ventura High School and won a Channel League Championship in 1995 and graduated in 1997. Coach McMillin (Coach Mac) went on to play 2 years at Ventura College and earned a scholarship to play baseball at San Francisco State University in the Division 2 ranks. Tony majored in General Education and Kinesiology, and finished his Bachelor of Science Degree at Grand Canyon University.

Coach McMillin went back to his alma mater and began his coaching career at Ventura High School and worked under long-term Head Coach Dan Smith from 2001-2003. McMillin also served as the Head Coach of the Ventura American Legion Program in 2002-2004 and delivered 20 plus wins in both summer seasons. In 2005-2012 Coach McMillin began running summer baseball programs and found a great deal of success impacting young players and giving them an opportunity to compete at the highest levels and providing exposure through-out California and Arizona. Coach McMillin's teams were ranked nationally and also received multiple number-one rankings in consecutive years in USSSA Baseball Major Division.

After running successful youth programs, Coach Mac accepted a position to coach at Buena High School from 2011-2014, and captured a Channel League Championship, while earning berths to the playoffs three consecutive seasons. Coach Mac then went on to work at Oxnard High School from 2014-2016, and in his first season with the Yellow Jackets, they set a school record in wins with 25 and earned multiple CIF Playoffs berths.

Coach McMillin accepted a position at Oxnard College in 2016, and currently serves as the Head Assistant for the Men's Baseball Program. Tony McMillin is currently the Owner of Thunder Baseball which was established in 2013 where he runs successful summer and fall programs for High School and Collegiate players.

Oxnard College is lucky to have such a tremendous local, talented coach to make sure OC Baseball continues to fly high.
