Oxnard College Women's Basketball team plays hard. They gave all they had, for 40 minutes on Wednesday night, but Moorpark proved why they are a force this year.
The Condors were no match, falling 109-45. Vanessa Maldonado led OC with 14 points, nine rebounds, and three assists. Her sister, freshman guard Natalie Maldonado had nine points and seven assists. Teammate Mary Nichols had seven points and five rebounds, with Kimberly Baltazar adding six points, and Madisene Allen chipping in five.
Oxnard was unable to curtail sophomore Barbara Rangel who scored 31 points and grabbed 15 rebounds.
Oxnard will look for their first WSC win when they travel to Santa Barbara on Saturday night. Tipoff is slated for 7:00 in the SBCC Sports Pavilion. SBCC will be hosting their annual Coaches vs Cancer Fundraiser. Please go cheer on the Condors and contribute to fight cancer.
